Background
Nick has more than 20 years operational, strategic and executive management experience in the healthcare arena.  Prior to joining SunStone, Nick spent eleven years as CEO for the Windber Medical Center and was responsible for founding the nationally recognized Windber Research Institute in 2000.  During his time at Windber, Nick successfully positioned the Medical Center as an innovative, award winning organization with incredibly high performance standards.  His leadership transformed Windber into a consumer-driven, patient-focused organization, resulting in extremely high patient satisfaction while maintaining high financial and operational efficiency.  Nick holds Masters Degrees from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Carnegie Mellon University and was awarded distinguished alumni awards from both institutions. He also holds a certification from Harvard University, is a Fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives and has received numerous awards from area community organizations.
